FCHS Lady Pilots open season against Murray, Obion Co. Central

The Fulton County High School Lady Pilots opened their 2026 volleyball season Mon., Aug. 17 with a tough matchup against Murray High School.
Playing at home, the Lady Pilots battled throughout the contest but ultimately fell to Murray in straight sets, 3-0.
Murray took the opening set 25-21 before pulling away in the second set, 25-13. The Lady Pilots continued to fight in the third set, but Murray closed out the match with a 25-16 victory.
The Lady Pilots welcomed the Obion County Central Lady Rebels to town Tues., Aug. 18, but the visitors would leave with a 3-1 victory.
Obion County Central got off to a strong start, taking the opening set 25-21 to grab an early lead.
The Lady Pilots answered in the second set, however, battling back to a 25-19 victory and tying the match at one set apiece.
The Lady Rebels regained control in the third set, pulling away for a 25-12 win and taking a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth.
Fulton County continued to fight in the final set, but Obion County Central closed out the match with a 25-18 victory, earning the 3-1 win.
The Lady Pilots will return to action Thurs., Aug. 30 as they host Lake County at 6:30 p.m.
