Jimmy Ray Kirby, a resident of the Cayce Community, died Sept. 7 at his residence. He was 60.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 10 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, in Fulton, with Rev. Mark Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in the Cayce Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the hour of service. Hornbeak Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Brockwell Kirby, whom he married Oct. 20, 2005; four daughters, Britni (John) Carroll, of Dyersburg, Tenn., Maranda (Chad) Copeland, of Cayce, Jessica (Amelia) Copeland, of Louisville, and Sarah (Tyre) Jones, of Cayce; eight grandchildren; a brother, Marty Dale (Penny) Kirby, of Sparta, Tenn.; four sisters; Linda (Doyle) Tucker and Gay Pierce, both of Hornsby, Cheryl Ann Kirby, of Martin, Tenn., and Sheila Nan (James) Owens, of Latham, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Bonnie Montell Dortch Kirby; and a brother, Jerry Lynn Kirby.

Born July 1, 1960 in Bolivar, Tenn., he was a Army National Guard Veteran and worked as a Salesman at Vowell and Sons in Martin. He lived most of his life in this area.
