Work Zone Lane Restriction on Purchase Pkwy near Fulton starting Monday, Sept 14

Southbound restrictions for bridge deck work next 2 weeks

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to restrict southbound traffic to one lane on the Julian Carroll-Jackson Purchase Parkway near Fulton starting Monday, September 14, 2020.

This work zone lane restriction for southbound Purchase Parkway traffic is to allow concrete deck patching on the Canadian National Railroad Overpass at mile point 1.7. Initially, all traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.

Once it goes up on Monday, this southbound work zone will be in place around the clock until late in the day on Wednesday, September 15.

This work zone will go back up the following week starting Monday, September 21, and remain in place around the clock until late in the day on Wednesday, September 23. During this second round of concrete deck patching all traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane in this work zone.

Southbound motorists on the Purchase Parkway should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 2 mile marker.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and bridge maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
