FULTON INDEPENDENT IN-PERSON CLASSES POSTPONED FOLLOWING SUPERINTENDENT'S CONCERNS OVER HIGH POSITIVITY RATE FULTON INDEPENDENT IN-PERSON CLASSES POSTPONED FOLLOWING SUPERINTENDENT'S CONCERNS OVER HIGH POSITIVITY RATE

Dear Bulldog Family:

It is with great disappointment that I inform you that we will have NTI instruction on Monday and Tuesday, Oct 5 & 6. Food service delivery to students will be held on Tuesday as normal.

Today our county has the highest COVID positivity rate in the state at 55%. With a positivity rate that high, I am hesitant for us to hold in-person classes on Monday. The admin team will continue to monitor the situation throughout the weekend and the first of next week. My hope is that we will go to school on Wednesday, Oct 7 but that will depend on the trend of the numbers that we see throughout the weekend and first of next week.

Please know that this decision weighs very heavily on my conscious. I have to consider the health of our students, our employees, the community and the education of our students. I know that many of our parents are nervous about sending their students back and many are eager for their students to return to the classroom. I share both of your concerns. Let’s hope that our students can return soon!

Thank you for your understanding. Please continue to frequently wash your hands, stay at home if you are sick, and wear a mask when you are out and stay #BulldogStrong.
