AREA OBITUARIES -- STEPHEN M. GRISSOM

Stephen M. Grissom, a resident of Hickman, died Oct. 25 at his residence. He was 60.

Funeral services will be held on Oct. 28 at 1 p.m., at Strong Funeral Home, in Hickman, with Bro. Jason Sipes officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Oct. 28 from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Strong Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by a brother, Reginald Doyle Grissom, of South, Fulton; his aunt, Charlotte Jones, of Hickman; and several cousins.

Born Sept. 5, 1960 to the late Macon Doyle Grissom and Trulah Lee (Jones) Grissom, he worked for Garrison’s Grocery in Hickman, for many years and was employed for the County School System as a janitor.

He was also of the Baptist faith and a member of the West Baptist Church in Hickman.
