Military discharge papers recorded free at Obion County Register’s office

November 10, 2020

With this year’s celebration of Veteran’s Day, Obion County Register of Deeds, Cheryl Reddin, expresses her appreciation to all veterans for their service to their country, and also reminds veterans to bring their certified military discharge papers – DD214s – to the register’s office at the Obion County Courthouse in Union City to be recorded.
“Recording this important document will allow veterans and their families to always have access to a copy. There is never a charge for recording or retrieving copies,” Reddin said.
The register’s office, located on the north end of the main floor of the courthouse, is open Mondays through Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is scheduled to be closed in observance of Veteran’s Day.
