Sectionals end SFMS season

The South Fulton Middle School Red Devils finished their season in the first round of the sectional tournament after falling to the Lake County Middle School Falcons. The Red Devils jumped on top early in the game scoring 10 points in the first quarter while holding the Falcons to nine points. The Red Devils fell behind in the second quarter tacking on three points to bring the score to 13-19. After half time the Red Devils scored seven points, but the Falcons remained six points ahead, 20-26. The Red Devils fought back hard in the final quarter scoring nine points. The Red Devils couldn’t find a way to finish on top of the Falcons 29-36.

Dallas Whitehead was the leading scorer for the Red Devils scoring nine points and pulling down seven rebounds.

Brady McFarland and Dane Cirkles each had six points. McFarland crashed the boards hard getting six rebounds.

Connor O’Neal and Tucker Stevens each had three points and Charles Michael Mulcahy had two points.

The Red Devils finished the season with 16 wins and two losses.
