Fulton Nursing and Rehab adds Speech Therapist to staff

Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation would like to welcome Missy Dodson, to the Therapy Department.

She is a Certified Speech Language Pathologist, with over 20 years of experience in Speech Therapy, she is licensed in the state of Kentucky and has received national recognition through ASHA CCC certification.

In addition to these accomplishments, Dodson is also certified in Vital Stim Therapy. Vital Stim Therapy is a non-invasive therapy that uses an electrical current to stimulate the muscles responsible for swallowing. It is the only FDA-cleared device for treatment of dysphagia, or trouble swallowing. Dysphagia can be a side effect of a stroke or other debilitating illnesses, making it difficult for patients to get the proper nutrition. Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation is proud to offer this service to the community.

She lives in Beulah with her husband and two sons. In her spare times she enjoys sewing, crafts and assist her husband with coaching Cross Country for Hickman County JV and Varsity Girls Team.

Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation is a 60 bed Skilled Nursing Facility, offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. In addition to therapy, Fulton offers 24-hour licensed nursing care and an In-House Nurse Practitioner five days per week.
