Fancy Fannie’s creativity pleases all tastes

March 23, 2021

Brittany Caksackkar Stepp envisioned a “sweet” idea for the Twin Cities in November of 2016, when she, along with a strong support system of female family members, opened Fancy Fannie’s Bakery at 422 Lake St. in downtown Fulton.

Using an artistic talent and confectionary creativity, Stepp produces true works of art, pleasing to the eye, as well as the palate.

Her specialty cakes, for birthdays, anniversaries, wedding and baby showers, bring a customer’s ideas to life, with few limitations as to specific themes or motifs available. Often, visitors to her shop may just provide a screen shot or photo of an idea, and with a few fillings of a pastry bag and attachments of frosting tips, the cake is ready for pickup. Custom decorated cookies are also available.

From apple pies to zucchini bread, brownies, cupcakes, cheesecake and the popular “Ooey Gooey” cake, why slave away for a family gathering’s dessert table, when Fancy Fannie’s is on the job and taking orders.

The shop’s offerings are not limited to the sweet side of life, as homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese, seasonal soups and sandwiches are available for most lunch hour weekdays. Catering inquiries are welcome.

During the holidays, as in the upcoming Easter season, there are even more specialties, such as fun, treat filled Easter baskets for all ages.

Current hours of operation are Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The telephone number is 270-208-1062.
