Fulton Railroader’s Head Coach Scott Guymon has a full roster for the 2021 season and on June 1, the local team will gather at Lohaus Field, also known as “The Yard” for a team meeting.

Most of the host homes have been assigned, but there is still a need for a few more to volunteer, Guymon said in a telephone interview last week.

The requirements to be a host home during the summer season for a Fulton Railroader, or Railroaders are minimal, primarily providing a place for team members to sleep, shower, take care of their laundry, and meals.

Often, the team members are able to provide help with the mealtime duties, Guymon said.

“Host families do get season tickets for the home games. Kim Kimbell does a great job in matching up the players with those who volunteer to serve as host homes. She coordinates all of that,” Guymon said.
