AREA OBITUARIES – JIMMY DWANE SMITH

Jimmy Dwane Smith, age 68, of Dyer, Tenn., passed away Mon., June 14, 2021 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1952 in Leatherwood, Ky., to the late L.M. "Pinky" and Ollivene Bennett Smith.

Jimmy worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, Tenn.

He is survived by his children; Brady Smith of Wingo, Ky., Shannon Roberts of Rives, Tenn., and Amanda Bailey of Dyer,Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Joseph Andrews Smith of Russellville, Ark., Justin Dwane Smith of Martin, Tenn., Jamison Alexander Smith of Russellville, Ark., Tyler Roberts of Rives, Tenn., BaileyJane Wilson of Dyer, Tenn., Katelee Roberts of Rives, Tenn., Trey Bailey of Dyer, Tenn. and Ashley Bailey of Dyer, Tenn., a sister, Rita Bondurant of Mayfield, Ky. and a brother, Chris Smith of Florida.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Leanne Smith.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 18 in Hornbeak Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 Noon Friday until the hour of service.

Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
