Fulton County prepares for athletic seasons

The athletic dead period is officially over for Fulton County student athletes and coaches are excited to get rolling with practice and conditioning for the upcoming sports.

Each athlete is required to have a current sports physical in order to participate.

Coach Jacob McKinney will be holding Cross Country practice on July 19 from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. Practices will be Monday through Friday each week.

Fulton County Golf will practice on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1 - 3 p.m. Coaches Wes Moore and Chris Roberts will host the first practice July 14.

High school football practice will be held each day from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., each weekday, under the direction of Coach James Bridges.

Coach Rodney Mitchell will hold middle school football practice Monday through Friday from 5 – 6:30 p.m., beginning on July 14.

Fulton County High School Volleyball will practice from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Coach Mat Dillion and Coach Merry Williams look forward to having more girls come out for the team this year.

Fulton County Middle School Volleyball will practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5 – 7 p.m., 5 - 6:30 p.m. each Friday, all in the FCMS Gym. Coaches Melissa Newton and Brook Cermak are looking forward to a great season.

FCMS Girls Basketball will begin conditioning in the FCMS gym on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 – 5 p.m. with Coaches Alex Barnett and Melissa Kinney.
