AREA OBITUARIES – JIMMY ELKS

Jimmy Elks, Sr., age 67, of Hickman, passed away at 12:29 p.m., Sun., Sept. 5, 2021 at his daughter’s home in Wingo, Ky.

He was a carpenter and a member of East Hickman Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle (Joey) Watts of Wingo, ; three sons, Jimmy (Rebecca) Elks, Jr. of Wingo, Matt (Taylor) Elks of Hickman, and Bobby (Ashlee) Elks of South Fulton, Tenn.; six sisters, Eleanor Johnson of Hickman, Francis Johnson of Henderson, Ky., Pearl Dick, Jane Bing and Joyce Kuta all of Union City, Tenn., and Donna Haney of Hickman; two brothers, Danny Elks of Union City, and John David Elks of Pahrump, Nev.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ellihue and Corene (Johnson) Elks; two sisters, Carol Elks and Ann Farmer; and two brothers, Neal Elks and Robert Elks.

Private family services for Jimmy Elks will be held at a later date. The Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky. is in charge of the arrangements
