FULTON, SOUTH FULTON PARKS BOARDS' TRUNKS-N-TREATS TO BE STAGED SATURDAY IN UNITY, PONOTOC PARKS
In their first partnership to coordinate and stage a community event, South Fulton's Parks and Recreation Board, and Fulton's Parks Board members have scheduled a Trunk or Treat, Fall Festival event for the community on Oct. 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Both South Fulton's Unity Park and Fulton's Ponotoc Park will be utilized, to provide family friendly entertainment and activities, which will include a hayride, games, bump-n-jump inflatables, a story walk, trunk-or-treating from vehicle trunk stations, face painting and a costume contest. Local police, fire and EMS vehicles and equipment will be on display for viewing.
Free hot dogs, chips and drinks will also be available.
Trunk-or-Treat spaces will be available for groups, churches, civic organizations, clubs, families and individuals, who would like to provide a trick-or-treat candy distribution station for children in attendance. Those who would like to display a trunk-or-treat station may start set up at 3:30 p.m., on a first come, first serve basis.
Those planning to attend are asked to bring canned goods to be contributed to the local food bank, however all events, food and activities are free.
Children may come in costume, and should bring their own bags or buckets for candy and prize collection.
The costume contest registration will be in Pontotoc Park, in three age group divisions. All participants will have photos in costume, posted on facebook, with the entry receiving the most "likes" the winner, and prizes to be awarded.
