AREA OBITUARIES – CHERYL MCKENZIE

Cheryl Carnahan McKenzie, of Water Valley passed away Fri., Dec. 10, 2021 at the Baptist Health of Paducah in Paducah. She was 70.

Graveside services were scheduled for Dec. 14 at 1 p.m., at Camp Beauregard Cemetery with Rev. Markus McClure officiating. Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton was in charge of arrangements.

There was no visitation scheduled at the funeral home, with those attending to meet at the cemetery at the hour of the service.

Survivors include three daughters, Sherry (Barry) Rice of Mayfield, Paula (Richard) Bone of Fulton, and Lynn (Troy) Hawks of Water Valley, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Janice (Dean) Lipscomb of Martin, Tenn. and one brother, Tim Carnahan of Wingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrial Wayne McKenzie, a grandchild, Kaylee Jo French and a brother, Brady Carnahan.

She was born on March 29, 1951, in Torrence, Calif. to the late Paul Benjamin and Dorothy Jean Colson Carnahan. She was a member of Pentecostal Tabernacle in Water Valley and had lived most of her life in this area.
