AREA OBITUARIES – DAVID WHITENER

David Ray Whitener, of South Fulton, passed away Dec. 11, 2021 at his residence. He was 62.

Funeral services were scheduled for Wed., Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton, wit burial to follow in the Eastview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of the funeral.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Sparks Whitener, to whom he was married March 10, 2008; three sons, two daughters, a stepson, Donnie Tibbs of South Fulton; four grandchildren, Heather Crider of Clinton, Ky., Kelli Williams of South Fulton, Austin Tibbs of Fulton, Autumn Tucker of Nashville, Tenn., five great-grandchildren, Krislynn Vaughn of South Fulton, Abbi Crider of Clinton, Patelynn Williams of Fulton, Lea Crider of Clinton, Braylynn Williams of South Fulton, and one brothe, Clyde Wesley Pleasant of Union City, Tenn.

He was born April 14, 1959 in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Clyde and Maie Katherine Brown Pleasant. He worked for CBK in the Inventory Control Department and moved to this area in 1999 from Milan, Tenn.
