The Fulton-Hickman Counties Economic Development Partnership and Fulton Industrial Development Authority recently announced the location of JBS Rail Services Inc. to the City of Fulton, following the company's purchase of a portion of the former Dura (Excel) (Modular Services) property on North College Street.
The property had been vacant since 2003.

JBS Rail Services, Inc. has its origins as JBS, Inc founded by Tim and Joretta Schwartz in 1996 as a vacuum truck company that later expanded to service railroad companies in 1999.

Upon retirement in 2019, the Schwartz’s sold the company to Kiel and Jessica Frizzell.

Rebranded as JBS Rail Services, Inc., Frizzell began expanding the scope of work to include material handling trucks, additional heavy equipment, hi-rail equipment, and various other railroad support services.

“We are excited to be a part of the Fulton community with its long history of partnership with the railroad. We look forward to supporting other small businesses in the area and desire to employ local skilled workers as our business expands,” Kiel Frizzell said. “We would also like to express our sincerest thanks to Mark Welch and Milton Dean for making us feel welcome in the Fulton business community.”

Currently, JBS Rail Services’ personnel includes laborers and heavy-equipment operators performing track repair, rail yard maintenance, inspection, and locomotive fueling services for several railroad companies the South, Midwest, and Great Lakes region of the United States.

Relocation to Fulton includes the construction of a 10,000 square feet maintenance shop and corporate offices and future development of the entire 14-acre site.

"Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen. JBS has been doing that and we are proud to have them as an addition to the community,” said Fulton City Manager Mike Gunn.  “This type of business is a perfect fit for the city of Fulton.”
