Obituary - Mary Holland
Mrs. Mary Holland, age 96, of Wingo, Ky., passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at her residence.
She was born on August 6, 1925 in Weakley County, Tenn., to the late Vodie Edgar Jackson and Mae Livina Hicks Jackson.
Mary was a member of Pilot Oak Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress at the former Henry I. Siegel.
She is survived by a daughter, Patty Matheny of Wingo; two sons, Tony (Lynn) Matheny of Wingo, and Johnny (Colleen) Matheny of Wingo; a step-son, Thomas (Sandra) Holland of Wingo; eleven grandchildren, David Allen of Wingo, Bonnie Allen of Cuba, Ky., Melissa Allen Coleman of Murray, Ky., Bobby Baker of South Fulton, Tenn., Daniel Baker of Branson, Mo., Larry Gibson of Wingo, Tim Matheny of Fancy Farm, Ky., John Michael Harrison of Wingo, April Thacker of Wingo, Beth Wilson of Nebraska, and Johnny Monroe Matheny of Wingo; two step-grandchildren, Alex Holland and Andrew Holland, both of Wingo; twenty-three great-grandchildren; several great-greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Betty Jackson of South Fulton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny M. Matheny, her second husband, Jack Holland, two daughter, Judy Allen and Wanda Baker Holt, two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, in Fulton with burial to follow in the Matheny Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service.
