TWIN CITIES CHAMBER ANNOUNCES AWARD WINNERS

“A Night At The Oscars” was the theme for this year’s Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet, held at Buck’s Celebration Center in South Fulton April 25, to honor outstanding community contributions made by individuals and businesses during 2021. Those in attendance were treated to a catered meal Bluebird Cafe and were invited to participate in a silent auction fundraiser for the Chamber.

Sharye Hendrix, founder and director for Smiles On Seniors, S.O.S., was named Citizen of the Year, Fall & Fall owner and operator, Harrison Hawks was named Young Professional of the Year and South Fulton Middle School’s Allison McMinn, Educator of the Year. Constant Auctions, of Fulton, was awarded Business of the Year and Trailers by Premier, also located in Fulton, was awarded Industry of the Year. The Twin Cities Youth League board was awarded the Citizens Bank Community Service award along with a cash contribution for the organization.

Nominees in categories for Citizen of the Year, Educator of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Business of the Year and Industry of the Year were recognized during the evening.

Along with Hendrix, nominees for Citizen of the Year included Erin Hancock, David Prater, Rebecca Holtzclaw, Pat Frazier, Melanie Gunn, Melissa Brown, Kathye Stem, Kenneth Walker, Anthony Constant and Kenney Etherton.

Nominees for Young Professional of the Year, in addition to Hawks, were Skylar Britt, Sherry Cook-Pyatt, Anna McCoy, Amanda Morris, Jake Clapper, Brittany Stepp, Kenneth Walker, Mitchell Maynard and Robby Mulcahy.

Educator of the Year nominees, in addition to McMinn, included Matt Moxley, Carr Elementary, Daniel Farmer, Fulton Independent Middle School, Morgan Wade, Fulton High School, Laura Murphy, South Fulton Elementary, and Mary Jane Wiseman, South Fulton High School.

Business of the Year nominations included Constant Auctions, Broadway Dance Company, Evans Drug, Fancy Fannie’s, Fulton County Transit Authority, Stephen’s Flower Truck and Two Doors Down Boutique.

Industry of the Year nominees, in addition to Trailers by Premier, included Kayser Automotive, Premier Portable Buildings, Tyson and Colorcoat.
