AREA OBITUARIES -- DEANDRIA SLAYTON COZART
Mrs. DeAndria Slayton Cozart of McKenzie, Tenn. and formerly of South Fulton, Tenn. passed away June 30 at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon, Tenn.
DeAndria was born August 16, 1978 in Union City, Tenn. to Laquita Pirtle Slayton and the late Bobby Slayton.
She was a customer service specialist for Spectrum and had lived in this area on and off all of her life.
DeAndria is survived by her husband, Eric Cozart, to whom she was married September 18, 2021, a son, Amarius Milton of McKenzie, Tenn., a stepson, DeAndre Cozart of Jackson, Tenn., a stepdaughter, MadisynRansey of Murray, Ky., her mother, Laquita Pirtile Slayton of South Fulton, Tenn., a sister, DeReka Slayton of South Fulton, TN, a nephew, Jalen Cross of South Fulton, a grandmother, Martha Slayton of Union City, Tenn., a father-in-law, Reginald Cozart (Jecuna) of Trezevant, Tenn., a mother-in-law, Harriette Taylor of McKenzie, Tenn. and a host of aunts, uncles, neices, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, grandparents, Ruben and Lela Pirtle, grandfather, Willie Slayton and brother-in-law, Reggie Cozart.
Funeral services will held at 2 p.m., Sat., July 9 at Brooks Chapel Kingdom Harvest Ministries in South Fulton. Visitation will be at the church from 12 p.m. Saturday until the service hour.
Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton was in charge of arrangements.
