PADUCAH, Ky. (July 5, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure of KY 1125 in central Fulton County starting at Noon, Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

KY 1125 will be closed at mile point 1.36 to allow exploratory drilling at each end of the Bayou De Chien Bridge. This extended closure of KY 1125 is about halfway between KY 94 and KY 1759.

The drilling crew is expected to be on-site from about Noon on Wednesday through Saturday, July 9. The roadway will be closed to through-traffic. Local access will be maintained on each side of the closure point for property owners.

There will be no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour via KY 94, KY 1706 and KY 1759. Trucks should self-detour via a weight-appropriate alternate route.

KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely notice should be roadway be reopened to traffic earlier than expected.
