DR. GRAVES JOINS HAWKS FAMILY DENTISTRY

Dr. Victoria L. Graves has joined the staff of Hawks Family Dentistry, 1201 Industrial Park Road, in South Fulton.

Joining Dr. Michael L. Hawks and Dr. Corbin Hawks, Dr. Graves is a native of Jackson, Tenn., and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She is May 2022 graduate of the Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn.

When asked why she chose a career in dentistry, Dr. Graves said when she was growing up, a family friend, who was a dentist, seemed to have such a fun job, through the eyes of a young lady.

“He knew all of his patients by name, just as most small-town dentists seem to do. There was also an artistic component to the profession, as we are able to help provide a beautiful smile to our patients,” she said.

Dr. Graves will begin to see patients this month, and is now at the South Fulton office. She said she will begin with “recall patients”, assist with hygiene checks and provide services to new patients, as well as offer a third option at Hawks Family Dentistry, in the event emergency situations occur, and Dr. Mike Hawks or Dr. Corbin Hawks may not be immediately available.

She shared that she first came in contact with the Hawks family, through her husband, South Fulton native J.B. Graves.

“We actually met at a family wedding, and at that time I was still in Dental School. I knew I wanted to practice in a small town. It really appealed to me to be able to get to know my patients and be involved in a community. I also liked the idea of Dr. Hawks seeing patients of all ages, from kids to older adults, as well as providing orthodontic services. I appreciate the idea of being able to learn and utilize so many skills at one office,” Dr. Graves said.

She said her husband is happy to locate closer to home and family. They currently reside in Union City, Tenn. J.B. Graves is in Sales and Management with Motion Industries, working remotely from home. The couple enjoy movies, theater, and golfing.

“Well, J.B. loves to golf, but I love to ride along in the cart,” she said.

She will offer a new dynamic for patients both in Mayfield and in the Fulton, South Fulton community,” Dr. Mike Hawks said.
