AREA OBITUARIES -- ESTHER LUCILLE PUCKETT

Mrs. Esther Lucille Puckett, 98, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Atrium Health Care in Pineville, North Carolina.

Born in Speaker, Mich., Esther was a daughter of the late George Frank Weston and Cora Bell Gilbert Weston. She was a member Water Valley Methodist Church in Kentucky. About ten years ago, Esther moved to South Carolina to be near her family and attended Tega Cay Baptist Church.

She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, baking and was a member of the Lake Wylie Lutheran Church Quilters.

She is survived by two daughters, Louella Puckett Sievers of Lexington, Ky., and Melanie Puckett Burns of Fort Mill, S.C.; her three grandchildren, Deidra DalPoggetto and her husband, Mike, of Fort Mill, S.C., James Burns and his wife Jamie, of Chapin, S.C., and Stanley Weston Sievers and his wife, Megan, of North Hollywood, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Puckett (d.2002), a brother, and a sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Wylie Lutheran Church Quilters, 2906 Highway 160 West, Fort Mill, SC 29708.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2022 in the Water Valley Cemetery. There will be no visitation held at Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton, in charge of arrangements, and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
