FORMER SFHS STANDOUT PEARSON SPONSORS BASKETBALL CAMP AT WILLINGHAM CENTER

South Fulton native and South Fulton High School graduate and basketball standout Trey Pearson, currently residing in Nashville, Tenn., and a coach for an AAU team, staged a one-day basketball camp Oct. 1 at Fulton’s Willingham Center, with separate sessions for boys and girls in seventh through 12th grade from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and sessions for participants in kindergarten through sixth grade from 1-4 p.m. Pearson, with his wife, Dani, provided instruction in the areas of high energy skills, basic fundamentals, footwork, shooting technique, proper defensive concepts and stances, and ball handling. There were 73 participants who attended the camp, with some scholarships provided, as well as competitions and prizes also a part of the event. (Photo by Benita Fuzzell)
