The South Fulton Municipal Regional Planning Commission will meet Thurs., Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. in the Municipal Complex conference room.

Items included on the agenda are an update from South Fulton City Manager Joyce Gray and discussion on Code Enforcement.

The meeting is open to the public.

TEARING DOWN WALLS TO BUILD UP COMMUNITY – On location at Fulton’s Fourth Street house construction April 9, built on April 8, using the SIP construction method, were Brenda Weaver, Community Ventures, Eric Couts, Master SIP Builder, Fulton City Manager Mike Gunn, FHCEDP President Mark Welch and Fulton County Judge/ Executive Jim Martin. Welch noted “a house is where jobs sleep” and applauded the receipt of grant funding through USDA, the Rural Partners Network and Kentucky Housing, to create more housing opportunities in the local area. Gunn expressed appreciation to Fulton Code Enforcement Officer Nathan Lamb, for his efforts in demolishing 83 dilapidated houses over the past few years, to make way for new construction.
