FULTON TOURISM COMMISSION SPECIAL CALLED SESSION SET FOR MON., OCT. 24

October 21, 2022

Fulton Tourism Commission will convene for special called session Mon., Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. in the conference room of Fulton City Hall.

The only item listed on the agenda is to discuss sponsoring and setting a budget for a Christmas Parade.

The meeting is open to the public.

TEARING DOWN WALLS TO BUILD UP COMMUNITY – On location at Fulton’s Fourth Street house construction April 9, built on April 8, using the SIP construction method, were Brenda Weaver, Community Ventures, Eric Couts, Master SIP Builder, Fulton City Manager Mike Gunn, FHCEDP President Mark Welch and Fulton County Judge/ Executive Jim Martin. Welch noted “a house is where jobs sleep” and applauded the receipt of grant funding through USDA, the Rural Partners Network and Kentucky Housing, to create more housing opportunities in the local area. Gunn expressed appreciation to Fulton Code Enforcement Officer Nathan Lamb, for his efforts in demolishing 83 dilapidated houses over the past few years, to make way for new construction.
