“Sherry’s Sleigh” honors Voorhees’ memory
Hickman First Methodist Church is accepting donations for small unwrapped toys for “Sherry’s Sleigh”, which is set up at The Citizens Bank in Hickman, in memory of Sherry Voorhees.
Voorhees was ready to help and respond when there was a need in the community, according to “Sherry’s Sleigh” organizers and loved helping in any way she could.
Members of Hickman First Methodist Church would like her light to carry on for the children in the area.
The toys will be given away at the church’s annual Breakfast with Santa, on Dec. 10, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Lie Enrichment Center in Hickman.
Those unable to shop, but would like to donate, may contact Becky Robertson or David Thomas and they will purchase toys with donations.
Church members hope to fill the box multiple times in Sherry’s memory.
