Alice Marie Roberson, 92, of Mt. Ida, previously of Jacksonville, Ark., passed away January 13, 2023.

She was born March 22, 1930 in Fulton County, Kentucky to the late Baxter and Johnny (Palmer) Brawner. In addition to her parents, Alice was welcomed into Heaven by her husband of 57 years, Chief Master Sergeant Charlie Gordon Roberson; brothers, Wayne Lee, Roy Baxter, Henry Odel, John B., and James Edward Brawner; and sister, Mildred Brawner Madding.

Alice graduated from Cayce High School in Kentucky and married the love of her life, Charlie, on January 11, 1953. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1965 and worked as an office angel and also for Mission 5000.

In April of 2020, Alice moved to Mt. Ida with her daughter and started attending Joplin United Methodist Church. In her final years, she enjoyed living in the country. Alice was loved by her family and was a blessing to all that were lucky enough to have known her.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Jane (Vicente “T”) Tenorio; granddaughter, Chrisana (Axel) Tenorio Mattson; great-grandchildren, Caitlynn Crace, Joy Laque, Garrett Wooley, Aspen Mattson, and Layla Mattson; six great-great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family that will miss her dearly.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made in Alice's name to a favorite local church mission, food pantry, or animal shelter. Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136, is in charge of arrangements.
