YOUNG FESTIVAL GOERS "CHALK IT UP" TO CREATIVITY

Dave Puckett, Chairman of this year’s 2023 Banana Festival Chalk Art Contest held Sept. 13 during the festival’s Faith and Family Night, has announced winners, who each received a backpack filled with school supplies.

For the preschool through second grade level category, winner was Jessie Mae Crawford.

For the third through fifth grade level category, winner was Ella Mae Jones.

For the sixth through eighth grade level category, winner was Kennedy Allen.

For the ninth through twelfth grade category, winner was Myranda Parr.

Overall Honorable Mention was earned by J.G. Hicks, a second grader.
