TWIN CITIES CLEAN UP DAY APRIL 13

April 17, 2024

CLEANING UP FOR A COMMON CAUSE -- Just under 60 volunteers were on hand early on the morning of April 13, to put on their safety vests and pick up gloves and trash grabbers for the Twin Cities Community Clean Up Day, sponsored by the Fulton Parks Board and the Twin Cities Restoration Foundation. Groups set out to areas along Broadway in South Fulton, Lake Street, Kentucky Avenue and Highland Drive in Fulton, to pick up trash along the roadway. There were 100 bags of trash filled, and picked up by another team of volunteers, within three hours of the 8 a.m. start time. (Photo by Benita Fuzzell.)

STUDENT SERVICE -- All ages assisted in the Twin Cities Clean-Up Day April 13, including local area students, who covered the area formerly known as Carr Plaza, adjacent to Subway and Dominos, in Fulton. Students may earn credit toward community service hours by participating in such events, now a requirement for graduation. (Photo by Benita Fuzzell.)
