SENIOR CITIZENS CELEBRATED ON THE LINE
Twin Cities’ seniors gathered along with city officials Saturday morning, beneath the Welcome To The Twin Cities sign on State Line, to officially execute a Proclamation to commemorate National Senior Citizens Day Aug. 21. Following the signing, seniors and guests were invited to the Harvey Vick Community Room in the South Fulton Municipal Complex for refreshments and door prizes, coordinated by the South Fulton Parks and Recreation Board and Smiles On Seniors, SOS. Door prize winners included Melanie Gunn, Dotty Harrison, John Thompson Katie Beck, Pat Collins, Joyce Johns, Pete Mansfield, Peggy Lohaus, Ruth Thetford Scott and Wayne Lohaus. Fulton City Manager Mike Gunn, Fulton City Commissioners Jeff Vaughn, Darcy Linn and Elaine Forrester and South Fulton Commissioner Cody Caksackkar were in attendance for the event.
