TWIN CITIES YOUTH LEAGUE FIELD DEDICATION TO NICK RICE, JUNE 14, 2022

June 15, 2022

Virginia Rice, Clark and Nolan Rice, wife and sons of the late Nick Rice, were present Tuesday evening for the unveiling of a free standing engraved plaque, dedicated to the memory of, and in honor of the South Fulton native. Nick Rice enveloped a love of baseball, easily shared with the youth he coached, from his own experiences growing up and playing the game. Robbie Mulcahy, who serves on the Twin Cities Youth League board, read a tribute to Nick Rice prior to displaying the new plaque. Virginia Rice then threw out the first ball, to her son, Clark, and his younger brother Nolan also pitched to Clark, prior to the commencement of the TCY Tuesday night games on the field. All three were presented with custom engraved baseballs, signifying the commemoration and field dedication to Nick Rice, as family and friends looked on.

It was a very busy night for TCY so just getting time to post some memorable moments.
Field #4 was dedicated to Nick, following a recommendation from the Twin Cities Youth League board, with full support of the Fulton City Commission. The dedication was in recognition of his many hours coaching in the TCY.
The TCY Board extended their appreciation to the City of Fulton for approving the new name for Field 4, the Nick Rice Memorial Field, as well as to Bro. Tom Quimby at Nu-Design Graphics for helping make the project possible.
