Halloween Light Pole Decorating Contest gets underway Oct. 20

The South Fulton Parks and Recreation Board will add a new event to correspond with this year's Community Trunk or Treat Oct. 28, with a Halloween Light Pole Decorating contest to get underway on Oct. 20, a week before the Trunk or Treat.

Businesses, clubs, organizations, churches, groups and individuals may secure a light pole stationed in South Fulton's Unity Park, or Fulton's Pontotoc Park, to decorate in a Fall/Halloween theme.

Judging will take place on Oct. 28, during the community Trunk or Treat event.

Decorating may begin on Oct. 20, to be eligible for judging.

Participants may request a preferred light pole location when registering.

A registration form, available at South Fulton City Hall, or via email request to sherry_pyatt@yahoo.com must be completed. The form must include the entrant's name, contact person, email, phone number, and requested light pole location, if preferred.
